Speech therapy teaches the physicality of making sound and building sound into words and communication.  Language delay refers to difficulties in expressing oneself and understanding others.Common causes

include cognitive delay, hearing impairment, visual impairment, social or emotional disorders.  Children with normal intelligence may also have language delay, which is known as “Specific Language Impairment”. Language delay will affect children’s academic, social and communication skills.  Treatment will be conducted in naturalistic contexts, such as play, as to raise their motivation to learn.
